Northwood Employment Resource

LOOKING FOR A NEW JOB?
HELP IS AT HAND FROM WHERE YOU MOST EXPECT IT

In times of uncertainty where do you look for your first help? Of course your family; they will offer you advice and give you every help possible to overcome your present difficulties. They may not have the qualifications or experience to give you practical help but they will unreservedly give you advice to the best of their ability.

Now there is another family you can turn to for help. It is your Northwood community family.

We are a collection of professionals who will help you in a practical way to rebuild your future. We can meet and discuss with you the opportunities of finding employment, how to draft your CV and how best to present yourself.

You will be able to draw upon our joint experience of working with thousands of different companies in different sectors of the market to help guide you to a brighter future.

Our advice is confidential and you can use as much or little as you want. You can use us as a sounding board for your ideas or to find out precisely how to approach different market sectors.

In short we are here to pass on our experience to you to give you a helping hand in finding new employment.

JUST LOOK AT SOME OF THE AREAS WE CAN HELP YOU WITH:

JOB APPLICATIONS:  FORMS OR ON-LINE

All Companies read very carefully how these forms are completed. They are your first line of communication with your prospective employer. Make sure your skill level is up to the mark and ensure the person making the first ‘sift’ of job applications is one that includes yours.

CV WRITING

Just having the latest way that your CV is set out can make the difference when employers have people with similar skills and backgrounds to choose from. It’s your most important personal projection for your call to interview.

NETWORKING

This is another way to explore job opportunities on the market, or maybe coming up. Make the most of your contacts in your particular profession but remember most importantly friends who may be in different occupations may just know someone who is looking for a person with your skills. Make sure you learn how to approach this very useful method of seeking employment.

TELEPHONE SKILLS

It’s not as easy as you may think to put across your personality over the phone. Learn the skills to help project yourself to prospective employers.

SMALL BUSINESS START UP

Maybe you want to strike out on your own and be your own boss. Then this is definitely the place to start. Get expert advice, including how to formulate your business plan and secure banking confidence in your enterprise.

FRANCHISES

These offer another way to be master of your own destiny. Learn how to make the crucial decisions on what franchise is best for you. How franchises work, what will be your commitments and the importance of location.

Remember as well as trying to secure the employment you want, other pressures may well have to be faced. Therefore in order to ease these pressures to positive influences, we can offer:
  • Excellent pastoral care from our community Rabbis
  • Benefit forms can be a minefield. Learn how to claim your full entitlements that the Government want to pay you.
  • Crucial Financial Advice that may help you utilise your income to its best advantage.Out of work experience that will give you the knowledge of how other people have coped in your position and how they came through it.
We are here to help you and make sure you get the help you deserve.  In the first instance please register with any of the following people:
