Northwood People
Northwood is managed using a typical United Synagogue structure.
A Board of Management is elected each year at the Synagogue AGM and all members can stand for election provided their nomination is seconded.
All Board positions are voluntary, and the Board is headed by the Honorary Officers who are the Chairman, Vice – Chairman, and Financial Representative. The wardens are appointed to oversee our religious activities and the smooth operation of our daily and weekly services. In this they work closely with Rabbi Freedman to ensure that the synagogue operates within the halacha and minhag of the United Synagogue. High Holidays require particularly intensive planning
The Board meets monthly to review progress and ensure future planning of all the synagogue religious, educational, welfare and social events.
Reports are received from the Financial Representative who ensures that our books balance.
Regular meetings take place between the United Synagogue and the Honorary Officers to ensure that we are fully up-to-date with developments and are taking advantage of their support team.
